“Yes, the girl died (…) I left her there and the child I had left, has come to us and told us that the girl neither speaks nor moves”.
In cynical words, a member of the large trafficking ring that was dismantled last Friday by the Athens Security Directorate, admits that an immigrant woman has breathed her last, at the time of illegal trafficking, due to the inhumane conditions.
A moment later, in the same conversation, the unscrupulous slave trader, oblivious to the woman’s death, tries to collect the sum of money for her transport. This is just one of the shocking conversations of the members of the criminal organization, which “Free Press” brings to light.
The authorities arrested a total of 41 people, who are responsible for the trafficking of at least 2,322 foreigners to and from Greece, but also for the preparation of over 8,000 fake travel documents.
“Those who are in Maizonos after taking the money refused to leave and took the children and put them to death. (…) Then the children went and beat them, the whole building was filled with blood and they were thrown out,” he said in a communication with another member of the ring, one of the foreigners arrested. The immigrants who were accommodated in the organization’s premises had to be treated in a hospital after the violent beatings they received. The incident unfolded in one of the total of 12 accommodation apartments for trafficked immigrants, which the criminal organization operated in Athens. In the possession of those arrested, handwritten notes were found for each accommodation, with information on the accommodation costs, the occupants of each apartment and the immigrants’ debts.
“We will give 350 to the bank and we have to grease the bank for 3 employees and the Director”, says one of the members of the ring, who is planning the purchase of a 6-storey building in Karaiskaki Square, in a phone call. In fact, in order to collect the amount, the trafficker plans to sell a hotel owned by him for the amount of 200,000 euros. “We can do it for 450,000 so you don’t stun me and I stun you,” he says at another point in his conversation. Indicative of the sums managed by the criminal organization, is the fact that it is estimated that the booty from its illegal activity exceeded 9 million euros.
“When they took me to the house where I was supposed to be staying, an Indian and another Pakistani came and at first they threatened me that if I didn’t give them another 1,500 euros in addition to what I had given them in Turkey, they wouldn’t let me leave and that if I don’t give them they will kill me. I explained to them that I can’t give any more money, and then three people came up to me, they grabbed me and tied me to a chair and took off my clothes, they all beat me together, specifically AH also took a video of me with his cell phone while I was without clothes.”
This is part of the shocking testimony of a “client” of the ring, who was beaten because he could not pay the price of his transport. The unscrupulous traffickers even threatened to upload the video on Tik-Tok to impeach him.

This is a conversation of a forger of the circuit, with one of the immigrants who wanted to illegally speed up the asylum process. The price that the foreign forger is asking for is 1,100 euros. Members of the criminal organization had created 5 fully equipped document falsification laboratories.
In total, the ring issued more than 2,500 legalization documents, while more than 8,000 forged travel documents were prepared. With these, the “clients” of the criminal organization ended up in Serbia, Austria, Bosnia, Italy, Spain, Germany, Sweden, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Portugal, the Netherlands, Croatia and France.
