Russian occupiers are reducing their presence at the captured Zaporozhye NPP. In the event of an emergency, the personnel remaining at the station were ordered to blame Ukraine.
“According to the latest data, the occupying contingent is gradually leaving the territory of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant. One of the first to leave the station were three employees of Rosatom, who led the actions of the Russians,” the report says.
The Russians also recommended that a person who signed contracts with Rosatom be evacuated. They must leave by July 5th. The desired direction of evacuation is the territory of the occupied Crimea.
“Today, it is known about the departure to the peninsula of the head of the legal department Mantsurova, the chief inspector of Shtatsky and the deputy of the Gubarev supply station,” the intelligence officers say.
In the satellite city of Energodar, the number of enemy military patrols has also recently decreased. The GUR notes that the employees remaining at the ZNPP were instructed “to blame Ukraine in the event of any emergency situations.”
What is known about the situation at ZNPP
Recall that since the first weeks of the Russian invasion, the Zaporozhye NPP and Energodar have been under occupation. The Russians repeatedly shelled the territory of the station, blaming Ukraine.
Recently, President Volodymyr Zelensky said that the occupiers could carry out a terrorist attack at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant with a release of radiation. He stressed that the Russians had already prepared for it. According to the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, Kirill Budanov, the Russians additionally mined the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant , namely the cooling pool.
