Moroccan students have once again proved their excellence on the international scene by mastering the entrance exam to the prestigious French engineering school “Polytechnique”, beating students of other nationalities. Among the 60 foreign students who passed the exam, an impressive 41 Moroccans have secured a place at this esteemed institution, renowned for the quality of its teaching and academic excellence.
These excellent results not only highlight the outstanding capabilities of Moroccan students, but also underline their ability to excel on an international scale. Alongside the Moroccan students, 10 Tunisian students have also successfully passed the entrance exam. The remaining 9 students come from Algeria, Austria, Canada, Chile, China, Congo, Lebanon, Romania and the Czech Republic, and one student from each country has secured a place at the school.
The Ecole Polytechnique de Paris is one of the most prestigious institutions of higher education in the world. Founded during the French Revolution in 1794, its main objective has been to train engineers and scientists for the nation. Throughout its history, the school has played a key role in shaping the fields of science, engineering and technology on a global scale. It attracts top students from all corners of the world who seek academic excellence, and offers a wide range of careers, including mathematics, physics and computer science, among others.
The success of Moroccan students in gaining access to renowned engineering schools in France has been a constant trend. According to Morocco World News, in 2022, 24 graduates from the “Lydex” science institute in Benguerir, Morocco, were admitted to French engineering schools, further cementing the reputation of Moroccan education.
this excellence of Moroccan youth was underlined by King Mohammed VI during the sovereign’s address to his people on the occasion of the 24th anniversary of his accession to the throne:
“As long as seriousness is the driving force behind our actions, we will succeed in overcoming difficulties and overcoming challenges. Indeed, every time Moroccan youth have had the means to demonstrate their seriousness and patriotism, they have fascinated the world with performances of unprecedented calibre”.
This example of the young Moroccans admitted to the Ecole Polytechnique de Paris demonstrates the commitment and determination of the national skills that have been able to assert themselves thanks to their perseverance and underlines the importance of the efforts made by the government in the field of education and training.
