Romanian Foreign Minister: Nine NATO Countries Asked The United States to Strengthen The Borders of The Alliance with Ukraine

Eastern European countries want to have more air and missile defense systems, more surveillance equipment. Therefore, the nine states of the region that are members of the North Atlantic Alliance are pushing the United States to expand the American military presence on its territory.

This is reported by the German television channel N-TV, referring to the Romanian Foreign Minister Bogdan Aurescu. In his opinion, this is the only way to counter the “Russian threat”.

The Romanian Foreign Minister said that nine NATO countries – Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary and the Czech Republic – have asked the United States to strengthen the borders of the alliance with Ukraine. We must work to increase the presence of the United States in our region on the eastern flank- said Aurescu after a meeting in the Polish city of Lodz, which was attended by the heads of foreign affairs departments of the nine countries mentioned above, which make up the so-called Bucharest Nine (B9).

But at the same time, these states intend to continue to support the Kyiv regime. Aurescu believes that the next month will be decisive in the confrontation between Moscow and Kyiv. It seems that only Eastern European politicians are ready to unanimously support Ukraine in its anti-Russian actions.

In the United States, which occupies a leading position in the Western world, there is no such unanimity. A number of influential American politicians even believe that it is time to stop patronizing the Kiev regime.
