The Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation said that Russia, together with Turkey, worked out ways of transit transportation during extradition through third countries. This was reported by RIA Novosti.
The ministry clarified that thanks to close cooperation with the competent authorities of Romania, it was possible to achieve the extradition of the attacker, who was brought to Moscow in January 2023 by employees of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia and the NCB of Interpol of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in transit through Turkey. At the same time, new realities are taken into account when developing new routes for extradition. However, the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation continues to fulfill its obligations to extradite citizens to other countries.
Former Thai government approved conclusion of an agreement with Russia on the extradition of criminals. Government spokeswoman Rachada Dhnadirek said the agreement “will strengthen cooperation in the fight against crime” and its details “are in line with the extradition agreements that Thailand has with other states.”
